7th Grade Social Studies
Other projects this week:
--Students will be using THINGLINK to evaluate propaganda from the Pre-Revolutionary time period. Students will have the task of 'reading' political cartoons with a critical eye--looking for perspective and opposing viewpoints regarding the British taxes, Boston Tea Party, and Boston Massacre.
--Students will be taking part in a community service project with the Malone YMCA by creating a video for the YMCA Winter Carnival Revue with the theme, "Wild Thing".
8th Grade Social Studies
--Students will be assigned a homework assignment on Wednesday--stay posted for details.
--Students will begin an iPad Quest that will take them on a tour of Ellis Island and Angel Island. Students will also learn what it was like to be an immigrant during the early 1900's via images from the time period. Finally, students will end the week by answering the questions that are on the U.S. Naturalization/Citizenship Exam for people who currently would like to become U.S. Citizens. Students will evaluate themselves on those question using a Citizenship Test App. The iPad Quest is below!
