This week, students in 7th Grade Social Studies will be looking at the events leading to the American Revolution. Students will take part in an iPad scavenger hunt, and will use apps and online resources to explore the time period leading to the American Revolution. At the end of the week students will celebrate all that they have learned so far this year with content-area iPad games on Friday. Please see Edmodo for information regarding this week's written homework assignment! This week, students in 8th Grade Social Studies will be looking at the history of labor in the United States. Students will focus on labor issues during late 19th and early 20th centuries by looking at primary sources, and looking at specific examples from the time period. Students will take part in a review of the time period on Tuesday with a display of student Invention timelines that were created last week. Students will be assessed on their learning of the Second Industrial Age on Wednesday, December 18th via an exam. The written homework assignment for this week can be viewed on Edmodo. |
